Mathematical Focus:

This round evaluates quantitative and computational mathematics including number operations, algebra, geometry, and problem-solving.

Important Rules:

• Calculators are not allowed

• Participants may use pens and pencils

• Rough work is allowed only in the question booklet

• The answer sheet must contain only final answers

• Electronic devices are not permitted

Format:

• 5 original mathematical problems 

• 90 minutes

Mathematical Focus:

This round emphasises logical reasoning, analytical thinking, pattern recognition, and creative mathematical thinking.

Important Rules:

• Participants must present their full reasoning and solution process 

• Calculators are not allowed 

• Participants may use pens and pencils 

• Electronic devices are not permitted

Format: 

• 80 short-answer, multiple-choice, and true/false questions 

• Paper-based assessment 

• Individual participation 

• Participants may progress through questions at their own pace 

• Participants may submit their paper before the time limit 

Mathematical Focus: 

This round evaluates speed of thinking, accuracy, and decision-making under time pressure. Unlike the Written Exam, participants must process a high volume of questions efficiently. This round prioritises accuracy, with speed used only as a tie-breaker. 

Important Rules: 

• The time limit for this round is 80 minutes 

• All questions are visible from the start 

• Participants may choose their own solving order 

• Early submission is allowed 

Scoring System: 

• The score is based on the number of correct answers (no penalty for wrong answers) 

• In the case of a tie, completion time is used as a tie-breaker • Accuracy is prioritised in scoring 

Rapid Fire Showcase (Stage Round): 

• Top-performing students from each TMC level are invited to participate 

•  Live stage round consisting of 15 short questions 

• Fast-paced, high-pressure environment • Does not affect official rankings 

• Selected participants are recognised with Showcase plaques 

Additional Notes: 

• Calculators are not allowed 

• Submission time will be recorded by the invigilator 

• Participants may use pens and pencils 

• Electronic devices are not permitted

• Pens or pencils 

• Erasers and pencil sharpeners 

• Rulers and protractors are permitted but not provided 

• Non-digital (paper-based) bilingual dictionary

 Not allowed: 

• Calculators 

• Electronic devices such as mobile phones or smartwatches must not be used and must be kept out of reach during the examination

Academic Integrity: 

Participants must work independently. Any form of collaboration, unauthorised assistance, or suspected breach of academic integrity may be investigated and may result in disqualification. 

Time Regulations: 

Participants must follow the official time limits for each round. Once the official time has ended, participants must stop writing immediately. Any changes made after time is called may not be accepted. 

Answer Responsibility: 

Only answers written in the designated answer area will be considered for marking. Answers written elsewhere will not be accepted. Unclear, incomplete, or ambiguous answers may not be accepted. 

Problem Interpretation: 

If a problem statement is considered ambiguous or open to interpretation, the decision of the competition academic committee will be final. 

Problem Adjustments: 

If a problem is found to contain an error, ambiguity, or technical issue, the competition academic committee reserves the right to make appropriate adjustments to scoring or marking. 

Official Decisions: 

All results are reviewed by the academic committee, and the final decision in all matters rests with the competition organisers. 

Academic Quality Assurance: 

All competition problems are prepared and reviewed by the TeenEagle Mathematics Academic Committee. Each problem undergoes a review process to ensure clarity, fairness, and an appropriate level of difficulty for each age category.

Language Support:

• Official language is English

• Translations may be provided in selected cases

• Languages may include Arabic, Russian, Portuguese, Spanish

• No individual translation requests

• English version prevails in case of discrepancy
